My Story: New York New York

So yeh, first time in NY.. the place is just OVERWHELMING! Such an intense city! Stopped by CultureShock NY rehearsal... they have a DOPE set for this year's Showcase, will drop several jaws i'm sure... Met Adrian, Linds, Ellie et al in person finally which was cool. Swung by Broadway Dance Centre, unfortunately Brian Green wasn't there =:-( But took whacking class from another dude which was ok.. expensive ($18 per class!) but good. Cant wait to take class with Mr Green himself tho. Bumped into a whole load of dancers at the Centre, including Eder, from St Albans in the UK! Ate out in the Lower East Side with Linds from CSNY then swung by a bunch of different gigs with peeps i'd met at BDC. Sunday was mostly just chill.. shopping, central park i was lucky enough to catch the immensely inspirational 'Broadway Underground' show, presented by Jared Grimes.. truly inspiring stuff, with a dope lil freestyle open floor at the end!! The only negative aspect was the SNOBS in Manhatten.. they're not even posh or anything, just have money i guess.. but yeh, aside from them, i'm most definitely lookin forward to goin back there real soon!

Yep... that's what u get for a $25 dollar hotel room.. could barely fit in the room to lie down!! (luckily i met Eder who let me crash at his place from now on instead!):

Despite trying to FORCE myself to shop.. i didn't do one bit of shoppin in NY.. dunno.. it was all just kinda ridiculously priced! U can get the same thing in Hennes for like a quarter the cost! haha:

Broadway Underground, monthly show presented by Jared Grimes... truly Inspiring. These live percussionists were AMAZING.. and the dude on the far right was some indian guy on tablas.. REPRESENT!
