Best Kept Secret..

After hours on buses going to some local stores to pick up sweats and some other cheapo clothing, Maxy (amazing dancer - popping, locking & groovy - from Seattle) invited me out to go watch Lisette's performance group 'Best Kept Secret' down at Zanzibar in Santa Monica.. so we headed down and Regan (dancer from Washington DC) joined us... Zanzibar was crazy, like half of the dancers from 'The Wade Robson Project' were all chillin there... Kevin, David Moore, as well as a host of agents and dancers from Bloc... even Jayson Wright came along to chill with everyone there.. Was really bizarre being around all these people in a social setting, but was cool. 'Best Kept Secret' performed a set which was absolutely amazing, so professional, so clean, so forceful and powerful! One of the dancers was a girl from London, Anika who used to be in Zoonation too! Maxy drove us all back home to North Hollywood and aside from all the gossip regarding dancers/teachers here in LA, we had a a very enlightenin conversation in the car about lifestyles and cultures here in Hollywood and the stark contrast from the harsher life in some of the more rough parts of America... Was very thought provoking..
