'Hip-Hopera'
So today was chill day.. a friend recommended taking the 'Runyan Canyon' walk, where u can look down over the entire LA basin.. but the sun was startin to set by the time I reached there, so instead I just picked a direction and decided to walk all around the Hollywood Boulevard area. Found some crazy cheap deals at Banana Republic..when American shops put things on SALE, they REALLY slash the prices! Then i randomly bumped into this couple from Slovenia..i'd met them at Millenium studios here in LA and recognised them from when they took class in London like a year ago.. so they were heading to this theatrical show in Hollywood tonight.. 'Hip-Hopera'.. so i tagged along. It was an amazing production..these two white comedians did the whole show, they were every character in the story, switchin up characters right on stage... if u were blind, you'd think they were black, they rapped with amazing flow. It was a hiphop version of the story of Jehovah and Jobe... except this was Jo Blow, who's boss was J. Hoover.. and they had a character of Louis Sapphire, sounding all too like Lucifer! It was set in current day LA, in a Record Label company... And they fused everything from classical music, to Snoop Dog! Didn't actually have that much hiphop dance choreography but i'm still really glad I managed to catch the show.. twas genius!
